I thought this the perfect outfit to give a mini crash course in my thrifting strategy!
You might have seen this grey Hacking jacket from Banana Republic on my instagram. I got it for less than $50 (full price they are $120+). I had a coupon and my rewards. This is a great example of waiting for the right moment to get a current trendy item to mix with classic, thrifty items! I would argue that this jacket will quickly become a classic wardrobe piece, however.
This cashmere short-sleeved crew neck cable knit Ralph Lauren top was thrifted for $3! And this navy pencil skirt was a massive end-of-season clearance item a couple years ago at Macy's for less than $10.
Shoes were $5 from the Goodwill. Necklace was $12 clearance Banana Republic that I bought with the jacket!
It's really about finding classic or a few season old pieces at the thrift store, and then "splurging" on a few mall items to really bring you into the season.
I'm hoping to wear this tomorrow, so stay tuned, and be sure to follow my instagram!
